What is MOSS™?
MOSS™ (Managed On Site Servers) is a unique, maintenance, subscription service where VMS Co. delivers optimised video management and analytics servers to your site. These servers are owned, managed, maintained and warrantied by VMS Co., at your site.
The MOSS™ subscription is classed as a maintenance fee and falls within the operational budget of a business. The servers are delivered as part of this maintenance service (like a router is delivered within a broadband service). The MOSS™ servers are renewed and in perfect condition, with a Next Business Day Warranty of up to 7 years, with other (SLA's) service level agreements available. This is why our MOSS™ maintenance service is environmentally sustainable, meeting (ESG) environmental, social, and governance standards.
Why MOSS™
VMS Co.’s unique, MOSS™ maintenance subscription has many of the benefits of a Cloud service, including affordable, monthly subscription payments; managed servers; upgrade capability; full warranties and comprehensive technical support. However, unlike Cloud, video streaming and broadband costs are kept low, on a local server, and there is less dependence on unreliable broadband or WAN networks.
MOSS™ has all the performance benefits of a purchased server and many of the commercial benefits of Cloud.
