  VMS Co. provides End-of-Life (EOL) replacements and simple, MIGRATE hardware upgrade options for when a server reaches EOL, or if the VMS system expands mid-term and requires a different hardware specification.

• Our MOSS™ maintenance subscription is an Operational Expenditure

  VMS Co.’s MOSS™ subscription service is an Operational Expenditure not a Capital Expenditure. Because VMS Co. retains ownership of the MOSS™ server hardware within its subscription model, it is also designated a maintenance subscription fee.

Keep cash in your business

Keep cash in your business with our MOSS™ Managed Server on Site subscription service. It is a simple, monthly, quarterly or annual subscription for a fully managed, maintained and warrantied server, deployed at your site.

Reduce cost of entry of VMS

Our MOSS™ subscription service is designed to reduce the cost of using optimised VMS and VA servers, making them more affordable and less onerous to support. We support them for you!

Reduce video streaming costs

VMS Co.'s MOSS™ purchase and subscription service and on-site server approach removes expensive broadband costs by streaming video to a local server instead of across a broadband network to the cloud. However, with our subscription, the server is managed, maintained and warrantied by VMS Co. like a cloud server, removing the need to rely on erratic broadband or network connections.

Stay within the Operational Expenditure budget

Our unique MOSS™ subscription service is designated a ‘maintenance' fee keeping server and PC costs within the Operational Expenditure budget of a business.

We fit and you forget!

Our MOSS™ subscription service includes delivering the VMS server to site and supporting and maintaining it thereafter, to an agreed SLA, typically with a 7-year warranty. 

Managed server continuity

When a MOSS™ server reaches end of life (EOL), we can replace it as part of our service. We also offer a paid for ‘VMS software transfer’ service, moving the VMS software from the original server to its replacement. This gives continuity of site operation and maximises system uptime.

MIGRATE - upgrade flexibility

If a site CCTV system expands and the original server is no longer optimal, such as if more cameras are added to the system, MIGRATE is a service offered by VMS Co. to allow for this to happen seamlessly. The site can scale up with the additional servers it needs, or the original site servers can be replaced with higher specification upgrades. That is the flexibility of the MOSS™ subscription.

Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

VMS Co. offers a 7-year, next business day (NBD), field-engineer-driven warranty as standard. We have a 4-hour call out option for mission-critical applications, for an additional cost, through to a lower cost, 3-day call out to suit all applications.

Warrantied by Video Management Servers

VMS Co.'s MOSS™ purchase and subscription servers are warrantied for 7 years. Our new server option comes with the manufacturer’s warranty, with ‘next business day’ onsite support.

Sustainability

Changes to government sustainability policy during 2026 mean carbon-offset requirements will no longer be voluntary but mandated. VMS Co.’s MOSS servers deliver here too. They are a highly sustainable ‘GreenTech’ solution, focused specifically on carbon reduction, where the impact is far greater than the current carbon offsetting approach; which doesn’t fundamentally deal with the problem.
